Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 15, 2026 · Effective: March 15, 2026Poker Panel is operated by Henry Schlesinger, sole proprietor, based in the United States ("Poker Panel," "we," "our," or "us"). We operate the Poker Panel macOS application, the Poker Panel Camera iOS application, and the pokerpanel.app website (collectively, the "Service"). This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Billing Information. When you purchase a subscription, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe - we never store your full credit card number, CVV, or bank details on our servers.
Beta Signup Information. If you request beta access, we collect your name, email address, and optional details about your poker game setup. This data is stored in our database and used solely to evaluate your beta application and contact you with access instructions.
Camera and Video Data. The Poker Panel Camera iOS app accesses your iPhone's camera to stream video to the Poker Panel macOS application over your local network. Video data is transmitted directly between your devices via your local Wi-Fi network. We do not transmit, store, or have access to any of your camera feeds or video content.
Local Network. The iOS app uses your local network (Wi-Fi) to discover and connect to the Poker Panel macOS application using Bonjour/mDNS. This communication stays entirely on your local network and is not routed through our servers.
Card Detection Data. The CardEYE vision model runs entirely on your Mac. Card detection and game data are processed locally and are never sent to our servers.
Usage Analytics (Application). We collect anonymized usage data including app version, macOS version, and crash reports through Apple's built-in analytics framework. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Software Updates. The Poker Panel macOS application periodically checks our servers for available updates. This request transmits your app version and your device's IP address. We do not log or store IP addresses from update checks.
Website Analytics. Our website uses Vercel Web Analytics to collect anonymous visitor data including page views, referrer URLs, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (country/region level). Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or track individual users across sites. See Vercel's Analytics Privacy Policy.
2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance - Processing your account and subscription data is necessary to provide you with the Service you have purchased.
- Legitimate interest - We process anonymized analytics data to improve our software and diagnose issues. We have assessed that this processing does not override your privacy rights given the data is non-identifying.
- Consent - When you submit a beta signup form, you consent to our processing of the information you provide for the purpose of evaluating your application.
- Legal obligation - We may process data where required to comply with applicable laws.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Poker Panel service
- To process your subscription and manage your account
- To evaluate beta access applications
- To send you important updates about the software (e.g., version updates, security notices, billing changes)
- To provide customer support
- To analyze aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve our products
- To check for and deliver software updates
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website does not use traditional tracking cookies. Specifically:
- Vercel Web Analytics - Collects anonymous page-view data without cookies or cross-site tracking.
- Local Storage - Our website may use your browser's local storage to save form preferences (e.g., beta signup form state). This data stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
We do not use any advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, or fingerprinting technologies.
Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no widely accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our website does not currently respond to them. However, we do not engage in cross-site tracking regardless of your DNT setting.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account and subscription data are stored securely using Google Cloud Platform (United States region) with encryption at rest and in transit. All game data, video feeds, and card detection results remain on your local devices and are never uploaded to our servers.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for all data in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls limiting data access to essential personnel only.
6. Data Retention
- Account data - Retained for the duration of your active subscription, plus 30 days after account deletion.
- Billing records - Retained for up to 7 years after your last transaction as required for tax and legal compliance. Stripe may independently retain payment data per their privacy policy.
- Beta signup data - Retained until 90 days after the beta program concludes, then deleted unless you have converted to a paid subscription.
- Analytics data - Aggregated and anonymized; retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to any individual.
- Support correspondence - Retained for up to 2 years after the last interaction for quality and reference purposes.
7. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We share data only with the following service providers, strictly as necessary to operate the Service:

12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time.
