Logitech C920 (2012, H.264)
Don't buy
We or a customer ran this one and hit problems.
We run 32 of these on one USB port. It is the camera the Poker Panel kit is built around.
The per-port figure is its floor, and the C920 will not sit there: at 1080p30 it reserves 3072 bytes per microframe, so only TWO run at broadcast quality on one port. Firmware is fragile as well: the compression-quality and auto-white-balance controls wedge it, and recovery needs a physical unplug. It also starves other cameras sharing the same hub transaction translator. Poker Panel skips those controls on Logitech and only opens the interface, not the device.
We are not going to help you buy thisIt is a real camera and it may be fine on its own. For a table of eight it is the wrong purchase, so this page does not carry shopping links.
